True Self
On going — A series of photos modeled after the work of Roland Barthes documenting the natural tendency for people to appear differently once they are conscious of the presence of the camera.
It was a 2 steps process. Surprising the subject and taking a picture of that moment was essential. To do so, I would come behind a person and give a little tap on his shoulder. The second shot, comes after I explain the reason of the process and experimentation. Some people would accept having this second picture of them taken. This ended up in some various result from people kindly accepting to other chasing me without having the time to explain anything.
